Our Approach to Adult Orthodontics
If, like many adults, you would like to have straighter teeth but feel you’re too old for conventional braces for a couple of years, &Alex can offer a range of short term treatments to give you the smile you’re looking for.
These short term treatments include Secret smile Lingual Braces, 6 Month Smile, Smile Trus, Invisalign and more – your dentist will be able to advise which is the best one for you.
Our Step-by-Step Process
This step-by-step guide applies to nearly all of our short-term orthodontic treatments.
- We carry out a detailed examination of your teeth before designing a personalised treatment plan which we will fully discuss with you before proceeding any further.
- We design your bespoke appliance and fit it to your teeth.
- You will then return to us for a number of short, pre-booked review appointments so any necessary adjustments can be made.
- Your braces will be removed once you and your dentist are happy with the result. This may be in as little as a few months but depends on your individual treatment plan.
- A permanent retainer will be fitted to ensure that the treatment does not start to relapse. At this appointment you will also have a chance to refine, enhance or make minor adjustments to your smile. Any tooth contouring can be done at this stage.
